If you
have ever been to MEMPHIS TENNESSEE, you know her : her
kinfolks consider her as the best living example of the
world-famous Memphis Blues sound (maybe just after her
godfather, the great B.B. King)
If you
have seen the last Robert Altman movie "Cookie's Fortune",
you know her, she is "Josie", the lady blues club-owner,
and she sings the title song of the moovie, written for her
by guitar player Dave Stewart, and she sure
enough does it with SOUL!

From
"Cookie's Fortune Production Notes" :

And
if you were in Paris and attended one of her appearances
there, you sure remember her, because
nobody there had ever heard anything like
this!
And
when she sings about LOVE, there is no way you can resist
!
